Dear Valued Customers,

As you know, the COVID-19 pandemic is pushing the pharmaceutical supply chain to its limits. The spread of this virus has created increased market demand for many pharmaceutical products. As such, we want to assure you that Capital Drug plans to remain open.

We understand what an important role drug distribution plays in supporting our country in a time like this. Although it is always our mission to provide excellent service and timely delivery of our product offerings, in these unprecedented times, there may be allocation of items or some delays in processing orders. Typical delivery times may not be possible. We apologize for the inconvenience this may cause you and your customers.

We also want to thank you for your part in ensuring patient access to critical medications. In our efforts to support you, we will continue to actively monitor inventory levels and take necessary steps to ensure continuity of the supply chain. If you have any questions, please contact your account manager or customer service representative. Thank you for your understanding.

Best Regards,

Dr. Jessica Richards Hosgood, PharmD, BCGP

Dear Valued Customer,

As you may be aware, in December 2019 a group of pneumonia cases were first reported in Wuhan, China. Soon thereafter, it was discovered through testing that the illnesses were caused by a coronavirus not previously detected in humans (2019-nCoV). The novel coronavirus was later named COVID-19 and has spread to every continent except Antarctica.

This is being actively tracked by the WHO, FDA, CDC and you can find updates here:

Capital Drug is committed to providing our customers with access to a vast offering of brand, generic and OTC products at competitive prices. Our internal teams are actively monitoring the global situation while working closely with our international supply partners for the latest updates. As of this time, Capital Drug has taken the following measures to ensure business continuity:

  • Monitoring inventory levels
  • Carrying extra days of inventory on hand to guard against possible manufacturing or API issues
  • Allocating products as needed
  • Keeping in daily contact with key manufacturing partners for updates
  • Monitoring release of information from key sources

Capital Drug will continue to monitor the situation as it evolves and will update customers as pertinent information becomes available.
